Mahindra Group Creates Unified 'Holidays and Lifespaces' Sector, Names Amit Kumar Sinha as Sector CEO

Mahindra Group Consolidates Holidays and Lifespaces into Unified Sector

Mahindra Group on Monday named Amit Sinha, currently the Managing Director and CEO of the group's real estate and infrastructure Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Ltd (MLDL), as CEO of its Holidays and Lifespaces sector. He will assume the role once a new CEO is appointed at Mahindra Lifespaces, the group said in its announcement dated 10 August 2026.

Strategic Rationale: Capturing Operational Synergies

The move comes amid the group's strategic focus on Holidays and Lifespaces sectors aimed at accelerating growth and realising operational synergies across these businesses, identified as 'Growth Gems'. "Both Holidays and Lifespaces businesses have tremendous potential. As we move into the next phase of growth, we have been evaluating how to harness the synergies between them to further strengthen the growth trajectory," said Anish Shah, Group CEO & MD, Mahindra Group.

The consolidation brings together two distinct but complementary businesses. The group created the sector to bring its hospitality and real estate businesses under one broader structure.

Recent Performance and Growth Momentum

The group's real estate business, Mahindra Lifespaces, has been one of its standout 'Growth Gem'. Since FY20, residential pre-sales in this business have grown fivefold, from around ₹700 crore to ₹3,500 crore. The business has progressed from losses to profits of around ₹300 crore in FY26.

Mahindra Holidays, the group's hospitality arm, also expanded during the period. Its membership rose to more than 300,000 vacation ownership members, while it added more than 1,700 rooms since fiscal year 2020. The business also expanded into leisure hospitality beyond vacation ownership.

Mahindra Lifespaces has rapidly expanded its development pipeline, growing gross development value from ₹8,000 crore to ₹50,000 crore and setting the stage for further pre-sales growth over the decade.
